    Description
This chapter presents a brief overview of the properties of meteoroids entering the Earth's atmosphere that can be obtained with forward scatter radio observations. The first part is a general introduction about radio meteor observations, based mostly on the extension of the classical work of Mc Kinley (1961) to forward scatter radio observations. The most important part of this chapter is devoted to BRAMS (Belgian RAdio Meteor Stations) network, which is introduced as a recent example of a system using radio forward scatter observations to study trail meteor echoes. Comparisons of BRAMS radio data with meteor optical observations are briefly envisaged at the end.
