State Archives of Belgium
The
State Archives of Belgium
is a federal scientific institution, operating
20 archive repositories across the country. In 2016,
CegeSoma
Study- and Documentation Centre for War and Contemporary Society joined the State Archives. Together, we preserve nearly 400 linear kilometres of analogue records and over 445 terabytes of digital data. We provide a broad range of inventories, guides, and scholarly publications that support academic research and help the public explore our collections. Each repository offers an open reading room for on-site consultation, while an ever-increasing portion of our collections is available online. The State Archives furthermore supports information-management practices across the federal administration. For questions regarding our publications or research output, feel free to
contact us.
