A newly recorded, long pathlength, room temperature, rotation-vibration spectrum of water in the near-ultraviolet was analyzed using a newly computed ab initio linelist. Five new vibration bands of water were observed. It was found that one of each of these new states belongs to the previously unobserved 6ν + δ and 7ν + δ polyads, two belong to the 7ν polyad, and one to the 8ν polyad.
