We present an overview of International Real-time Magnetic Observatory Network (INTERMAGNET) system installed in Teoloyucan Magnetic Observatory, Mexico (70.254 CoLat, 260.807 ELong, 2280 m) on July 1996 and its evolution to July 2002 when datatransmission to Edinburgh (U.K.) GIN started. During these six years the cooperation between Geophysics Institute of National University of Mexico (UNAM), and the Centre de Physique du Globe of the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) of Belgium, made possible join the Teoloyucan Magnteic Observatory to INTERMAGNET. The system is qualified with the required technical committee standards: Ruska/RMI DI-flux and Geometrics G856 proton magnetometer (absolutes); three-components fluxgate FLV1/A built by RMI, DFI orientation, +/- 2500 nT dynamic range, 0.076 nT resolution, and 5 s sampling rate (variometer); email transmission each hour. Additional processes such as near real time automatic data transmission via e-mail under UNIXLINUX platforms are described. Benefits in easy to use and independency are described, in comparison with other platforms these let us focus in data acquiring and data backup in order to reduce probably lost of information in case hardware fail. We describe too the near future set up of several magnetic observatories in Mexico that will operate such as Teoloyucan Magnetic Observatory.
