During the FLAGIS Conference on 29 April 2025, a presentation was given on how the challenges of born‑digital information are being addressed within the State Archives. It was explained how specialized processes and sustainable digital infrastructure are being used to ensure the authenticity, integrity, and long‑term accessibility of digital government records.
As more information is created exclusively in digital form, digital preservation is being regarded as a crucial pillar of the institution’s public mission. At FLAGIS, it was highlighted that this approach not only ensures that the digital memory of the government is safeguarded, but also strengthens a broader ecosystem in which reliable information is required for policymaking, public services, and societal resilience.
