This report details the tasks completed during Work Package 1 of the BESOCIAL project; a BELSPO funded, KBR coordinated, BRAIN research project with the following partners: CENTAL from UCLouvain; CRIDS from UNamur, and the research entities of MICT, GhentCDH, and IDLab from Ghent University. The aim of this work package was to review existing social media archiving projects and corpora in Belgium and abroad. The following report outlines the existing social media archiving at an international level.
