    Description
Vertical profiles of ozone in both of the highlatitudes were observed by Improved Limb Atmospheric Spectrometer (ILAS)-II from April through October 2003. The Version 1.3 ozone data are compared with data obtained by ozonesondes during the ILAS-II validation campaign, the project Quantitative Understanding of Ozone losses by Bipolar Investigations (QUOBI), and so on. A traditional correlative approach is used for searching for matching pairs that fulfill coincidence criteria of 500 km in distance and 12 hours in time difference. The ILAS-II ozone data generally agree with the ozonesonde data at altitudes between 15 and 30 km within ±10% and ±5% relative differences with 10-30% and 20-30% root mean square errors in the Northern Hemisphere and in the Antarctic, respectively.
